Phun Prize Post 9

Rune the Viking and Craver the Laser set sail for the UK to awaken the Sleeping lady, 6 days at sea then land was sighted.
They beached somewhere on the north east coast of britain, now they have to find a way to get down south to Cornwall.
Aahha, here's the transport, knowing how hardy these fellows are, a long ride on these horses will be no bother at all.
So off they rode, down the lane - over the hill and far away to Cornwall.

1st stop for the night was Grantham - one of the oldest pubs with a living sign.

1) Name the pub and why a living sign?.
2) What Castle is only a few miles from Grantham?
3) Which Prime Minister was born in Grantham?
Answers by email to me then comment here that you are ready to ride.

My Daddy would love to be on that sailing vessel. He loves the sea...and he loves sailboats. Beautiful shot of it.
I love the photo of the boat with many many layers of protective paint...and am amazed at the color of blue in one of the coats and the matching color of a rope...so very nice, IMAC.
Are those hay bales covered with snow? Brrrr. Beautiful photo of the lane with the rising hill
I am thinking of the travelers as they make their way down the lane to Cornwall. What a beautiful journey they have.

The Vikings may be hardy, but horses becomes a pain in the ... after a while.

We prefer ships - in fact you may see one you have seen before here :-)

So many lovely photos to view, to get caught up ! And am following the tale, or is it tail, although it's got me quite lost.

I love that shot of the lane, far off to Cornwall, although the mud & stone lady is a close second.

Oh - and a great header, Stewart. I believe that AWAC is a Boeing 707.
