BELVOIR CASTLE

Belvoir (pronounced Beever) Castle (click to take the tour.)

Belvoir Castle 6-7 miles from Grantham is actually in Leicestershire.

Owned by The Duke and Duchess of Rutland
Here's more information.

Now that you have taken the Tour and seen and read more info of The Castle ---

---In the next set of posts (over the next few days) I'll be showing you my photos of their splended Gardens that I took on Tuesday 6th May, when our friends from Texas visited us for the day, while on their Holidays.

Oh my gosh! That is FABULOUSLY STUNNING! I'd move right in if I could! I just adore that sort of architecture!

I managed to capture a gull gulping down a herring today - hope to post photos tomorrow morning. =O

Oh i love that castle, the tour was fabulous, were you able to go inside? My husband loves castles and he used to do pen & ink drawings of them. But never has been to see one. When i went back to Germany he told me to be sure and get some photos of castles but the only castle i got to see was ruins. This was a great tour

Don't they have horse trials there. I was at Badminton last weekend, but unfortunately my camera wasn't!

I passed there today coming from Great Yarmouth. See today's post. I've actually been inside early last year when it was closed, as my organisation was holding a seminar & I was helping with the meeting & greeting. We had a free tour round & I saw the old duke, but was told not to speak to him.
