A Great Day full of Memories.
This morning we went to the Crematorium to take some flowers and a poem I wrote to put them alongside where my Mothers Ashes were scattered, as its her Birthday next Tuesday and wont be able to get as Im at work.
Click and enlarge the poem if you wish to read.
Then we went shopping , home, then off for a ride to The Dirty Duck(Pub) for Sunday Lunch, Roast Beef, Yorkshie Pudding Roast Pots and Parsnips and a dish of 6 veggies. All washed down with a pint of Dark Ale, then a stroll along the canal for a few (100)or so photos.
Most of next weeks Posts will be around the Dirty Duck and the walk along the canal.
But for now Im putting up some of the photos from the Crematorium.

Nice remembrances.
Good memories for you to be sure
The Dirty Duck sound interesting…so does the meal, YUMMMM OOOOO
Is that a bird in full flight across your last shot?
After all that I wouldn't have been able to take a stroll! lol
It was nice that you were able to take a sad occasion and turn it into a nice one.
Very touching, Stewart. Both pictures and poem. We visited both my mother-in-law's grave (where the picture was taken) and my mother and father's grave.
Sometimes it gets to you.
PS Thanky you for the praise!
Hope you had a sad, but happy day. It's been good weatherwise. That pub sounds a great place to eat. You'll have to tell us all where it is.
It looks as if the weather was great. Sorry about your Mother.
I like going to pay my respects to people that I love but have passed on.
Very touching Imac... loved the tribute.
Thats a very nice poem. The bird in the last picture goes with the poem wonderfully.
I am so sorry, Imac, about your mom. The poem brought tears to my eyes. I think it is significant that a white bird is in the last photo.
Nice Poem! Mom's are special!!
Beautiful poem :) I love the shot with the trees and shadow.
Sweet poem, Dear...
