Walking the walls

We walked the walls of Lincoln Castle, see how far can be seen on a clear day.
My chum Blood-Hound is in the 3rd pic capturing the Cathedral (of which I will show in my next post).
The Castle was build of sandstone and therefore suffered some damage over the winter - which is now being repaired.

I can just see it hailing iron-pointed and armour piercing arrows. What a nice set of pictures.

I think it's neat the the castle walls are in such great shape that you can walk along them. These are beautiful pictures.

Love the perspective in these shots mac - the wall seems to go on forever!

What a great way to feel part of history, the walls look like they cover quite a large area.

I could sit in a place like this for hours, imagining all of the things that must have happened here over the years. GREAT shots, Mac!

Oh, how exciting. I can't wait to see it! Well, I guess I'd better wait till I get there.
