Walking the walls

We walked the walls of Lincoln Castle, see how far can be seen on a clear day.
My chum Blood-Hound is in the 3rd pic capturing the Cathedral (of which I will show in my next post).
The Castle was build of sandstone and therefore suffered some damage over the winter - which is now being repaired.

  1. I can just see it hailing iron-pointed and armour piercing arrows. What a nice set of pictures.

  4. I think it's neat the the castle walls are in such great shape that you can walk along them. These are beautiful pictures.

  7. What a great way to feel part of history, the walls look like they cover quite a large area.

  8. I could sit in a place like this for hours, imagining all of the things that must have happened here over the years. GREAT shots, Mac!
