I want to agree with the author of the link you provided and say that it has no didactic purpose, except that that this stone creature bears an amazing resemblance to my little brothers. ;-)
When I read the title I thought you were referring to yourself! These are interesting stories and you got a great picture. He does look as if he is capable of mischief.
