These old Cathedrals are magnificent! And the style has been copied in the US to great effect.

I will be putting my headers on http://lewsotherpics.blogspot.com/, with links to the other challengers in my side bar. I have a header for Orange, but it may take a few days to get the sidebar ready.

The beauty and grandeur of the cathedrals is breathtaking to me...

The cathedral has many outstanding aspects. I found the contemporary banners to be somewhat edgy and even violent. The water... is that a baptismal tank?

Oh My Heart..... LOVE it... IF I ever visit England, I will want to visit as many cathedrals as possible... LOVE them. Your pictures are awesome.

Most of the cathedrals in our country are either Catholic or Episcopalian... What is yours? Anglican?????

LOVE those stained glass windows... Did you hear the organ? Usually Cathedral Organs are awesome...

Thanks so much.

A good cathedral. It might even be better than the one at Lincoln

I spoke with the nice folks at Chichester Cathedral. That image that I thought was water... it's "a piece of Roman mosaic, which is below floor level and is covered with glass." On account of the reflection, I mistook it for still water.
