Header Challenge 17-10-12 = Symbols by Richard

SYMBOLS

Richard has chosen Symbols for our Header Challenge this week.

I would like to present to you one of the Worlds best known Symbols

My Header shows the Olympic Rings on the Thames waiting to be hoisted into place in the stadium.

UK - London was the  Host for the  2012 Olympic Games.
Also 2012 were Great Golden Moments  for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Medals for the UK.

The Olympic Rings

My Post Photo.

The Compass &Square is a Symbol for the Freemasons.

Go see the other Headbangers Blogs and see what their SYMBOLS are, you will find the Headbangers on my side bar - near my shield.

Just before I close - My music is by The Red Shoe Diaries - one of Nottinghams  Indy Music Group.
Reason for showing this is they played at Ireby Folk Festival this year , and we were there, also the chappie with beard is our Son Rob.
Hoping they will play next year too, as we are hoping to go again.

Good Luck.

No doubt, that is a symbol most everyone recognizes. Did you all survive the fun and excitement this summer?

Great header, Stewart. And you thought it was a difficult theme! Or was that just to psych us out? I had my header up yesterday afternoon, but have just posted about it.

Mac: Nicely captured. It certainly brings back memories of the Summer Olympics in England.

It appears that symbol has been there for a long, long time. I like the music and like the group - thanks for sharing!

It certainly has been an olympic year, with the games and the Queen's Jubilee.

I wonder if anything exciting will be happening next year, besides you reaching that certain age!

Great symbols. They are familiar and not at the same time. Thanks for the links with these great shots.
