Manrique was from Lanzarote  - went over to America -became famous and returned to Lanzarote. To show his love for Lanzarote -  he painted - sculptured  scenes of the Lava  on Lanzarote. He built his house among the tunnels and on top of the Lava.  This Painting shows the beauty of Lava.
Later this week there will be a post from this House which he designed and built among the Lava.

That was a very special painting. I enjoyed both design and colours (wouldn't mind having it on my wall either).

For me too the lava landscapes in Lanzarote makes its beauty. You nearly get the impression to live on a dead volcan. Ideal for a painter !
