Walking the walls of Berwick 2

Well, here we are at the top of the steps and here our walk begins.
On the left we have some 16th century houses, some enpty and going to rack and ruin, what a shame eh!.
On the right the right we have the mouth of the River Tweed.

If we turn around - we can see the 3 bridges of Berwick.

Looking across the Tweed we see the old Life guard station, but we cant hang about here all day, we have a fair way to go, if we want to go around the wall today.

To be continued.

It's great being an armchair traveller, with The Mac doing all the work for us.

It breaks my heart to see old buildings going to ruin, once they're gone they're gone.
I like the view of the bridges.

Some of the houses look well-cared-for. I would think this would be a wonderful place to live.

Ah - a nice tour from my arm chair - doesn't get better than that! ;-)

Lovely photos of Berwick - especially like the one with the bridges.
