There is nothing like good piper. I was in Hyde Park and by Buckingham Palace when the Princess Diana was buried. I still remember the lonely piper playing "Amazing Grace".

Did they play some carols as they went marching along?
Beeston has it's own marching band & they tend to wear black.

I just love a marching band. Drums especially. I don't know what it is but when they start beating the drums, my heart just starts beating Bang Boom too! It brings tears to my eyes! What is with that? Anyway, loved your post and pics of the band....
