These photos of the fireworks are absolutely beautiful. I'm not sure of the significance of November 5, however. Is it to celebrate the capture of Guy Fawkes before he could blow up Parliment?

Excellent... I like all these, and what you have done with the last one is very good...
I have a Village At Dusk on our Paintbox Pictures blog.

I was thinking of going to see a bonfire tonight, but Gail isn't very well today, so have kept her company. Maybe there will be something on Saturday night that's worth going to. Did Julie let you have any sparklers this year?

Great fireworks shots. I've taken lots of fireworks photos over the years but never posted a one. Yours are great.

Thanks for visiting my blog and the commenting.

Mac: Neat celebration of something from your history I know nothing about. I'll have to look it up when I get time.

You got them there!

I once watched the November 5th fireworks in Manchester. Gale force winds with with rain to match. Luckily we had a hotel with a view.

Guy Fawkes - not a holiday we celebrate over here, but sounds like a lot of fun. Great fireworks shots - were they from last year?

I've been a bit mixed up this year - at home in NI we just have fireworks at Halloween, and none on Guy Fawke's. Then here, I didn't see any on Halloween, and lots on the 5th! I'd forgotten things were the other way around and so missed getting any firework shots at all. But yours have made up for it :)
