My, my, but you have been busy this weekend! The sculpture park is an amusing idea. That would be a neat visit. But this one here stirred something deep inside me. The crocus is usually the first flower I notice after our Chicago winters. It is like a beacon of hope, announcing warmer weather and lots more flowers on their way.
That was brilliant! I don't think we have crocuses (or croci???) at this time of the year, so I'll have to wait until spring before I can try to match this on.
Your Photos were amazing today! I loved them, like always. How is the weather??? It has been extremely hot here. 106 this weekend. I don't see it cooling off for a few weeks yet! YES I am a little tired of the heat. I want to open up my windows and turn off the air-conditioner!
Ahhhh haaaa...:)) Thank you, imac. I learn something new...not every day, but every hour!! Thank you for the information. Your photographs are always lovely. I enjoy being here. Jackie
This is a beautiful shot imac. Autumn Crocus is not a 'real' Crocus. In Denmark it is called 'Nøgen Jomfru' directly translated to 'Naked Virgin'. The latin name is 'Colchicum autumnale'
That's beautiful - I didn't know they could grow in autumn! I had to look them up - apparently they are in danger of extinction as they have medicinal properties. I'll need to keep an eye open for them.

What a beautiful crocus. We don't have any autumn crocus. I need to rectify that!

Fabulous shot! Soooooo beautiful!
I LOVE Autumn crocus. They seem to come up from out of no where.
Beautiful crocus. I don't have them here this time of year. We do have them in the springtime. I like the colors too. Mine are white as I recall.
Thank you very much for visiting My Canon Blog and for the comment you left me there about my portrait. My Canon Blog
