To bring photos from my minds eye - to the public through the lens of my Nikon D90 ∧ D80
I bet you remember it well. No more big pennies and thrup'ney bits!A pint, bag of chips and still have your fare for the bus ride home.
Nostalgic view of those pumps!Even the foreigners had some problems: My future wife and I visited London in 1970 with pounds, shilling and pence. When we had finally sorted all that out, we visited Edinburgh the year after - with only pounds and 100 new pence.
Hahaha ! that's funny ! fortunately I never had to deal with that and when I visited my son in London, one year after my first visit pounds changed to kgs etc. So it became very easy for me, but unfortunately not for the locals !
Mac: Those are old gas pumps.
