To bring photos from my minds eye - to the public through the lens of my Nikon D90 ∧ D80
It reminds me of the C&O Canal in Washington, DC Amazing the things people can do in order to transport goods.
How amazing.. Great shots.. :) :)
I have always wanted to spend a holiday just cruising the canals. Now I want it even more.
amazing human power!
this is a really great series of photos -- well done!
I think your locks are just fascinating! We don't have anything like that over here as far as I am aware of.
Great to see another canal being put to good use. A nice set of Lock pictures.
Wonderful shots! The old C&O that Isadora mentions run past only a few miles from my home. The only thing left of it in my area is the runins of the locks and a ditch. This is much nicer by far.
The second picture of the lock is fabulous. It really captures the pull and push of water, the engineering, the patina that comes through use. A great shot.
I wonder how long this will take. It will be wonderful when finished.
this is a really wonderful set. well done. thank you for shared with us
interesting, great photos
Canals and locks are fascinating, and it's sad when they're lost. Nice to hear these locks are being renovated.
