Staithes and area Post 2

This is Staithes harbour, at the moment its low tide.
This footbridge is the only crossing to the other side of the river outlet unless you go outside the village right up to the top of the hill. The other side is called COW -BAR.
Another shot of the harbour, also shows you how the houses climb the hill.
High tide, if you stand there, there's a chance that you will be swept into the sea.
This shot shows how the mist comes creeping in from the sea, then travels inland - then suddenly dissapears - leaving the sun shining.SPOOKY OR WHAT??

That is such a beautiful place. I love those colors. And the boats and the water. Thanks for inviting me to come see all this beauty.

imac, These photos are great. I love the sea mist - yes, that is kind of spooky - but beautiful. The one with the houses climbing the hill is picture perfect.

Cameras are wonderful, yes?

Surfs up great shot plus the mist
The house climbing the hills reminds me of some of the Greek islands…

OOoohhh! That mist!!! Just gorgeous!

Must have something to do with the atmospheric pressure between the land and sea. We have a similar anomaly here on Cape Cod... sometimes if you look upwards towards the clouds, the clouds totally follow the outline of Cape Cod.

I love this set of photos, especially the one with the boats, the first photo. The other one with the view is spectacular.

These are all such beautiful pictures. I hadn't realised that places like this still existed. Love that main street!
