HEADER CHALLENGE

CLOUD FORMATION
Tis my choice this week and Ive chosen Cloud Formation.

Update on my Mac
(Once again - thanks to Julie for pinching some of my photos, without these I wouldn't be able to post on Header challenge) update on the Mac, we pick it up on Wednesday,(Thats why Im posting on Tues), minus the photos, but our chappie  at the Mac hospital says we can get them off Cloud - even that it malfunctioned, and he will tell us how to go about it.
(Fingers & Toes Crossed)lol

My Header
This cloud is called - A single cell capillatus Incus, from the family of Cumulonimbus.
Taken just outside of Durham City Cathedral.
Durham City lies in a valley and the Cathedral sits Proudly on a hill.

As we approached the Cathedral we noticed folk photographing, so we hurried to see whats going on - to our excitement we saw  this cloud - WOW what a fantastic sight, so we photographed it, and then it suddenly melted away, thats whats known as - being at the right spot at the right time, lol.
With Durham City lying in a valley, I doubt that this would be seen from the city.

My Post Pics

Great formation as the sun sets.

Being in the right place at the right time but also being fast enough to capture some fantastic photos such as these. All brilliant! Merry Christmas and A Very Happy New Year!

Loved the header. A wonderful collection of clouds Stewart - they are fascinating, aren't they. [I was reminded of the song 'Both Sides Now'].

Here's an early wish for a blessed Christmas for you and yours. Enjoy this season of Peace and Hope - not the kind that the world promises.

Your header is absolutely fantastic, but all of your cloud photos are beautiful. I hope you get your Mac (and photos) tomorrow with no problems whatsoever.

Oh My Gosh… That is awesome---all of them. But the header just took my breath away… WOW-WOW-WOW…. That's one of the best you have ever done…. I'm SO impressed…

Had a nice service for Dad Adams yesterday --and got to see many old friends and family members. We also enjoyed a family lunch together. Dad is in a better place now… Thanks be to God.
Hugs
Betsy

An excellent series especially the first one taken in Durham. We saw a formation in Scotland that looked like a stack of frisbees but don't know the name. You've captured the clouds so well

The Capitalus Incus is impressive, but my favorite is the one that looks like a flat sheet of loosely woven fabric.

Great bunch of clouds! Header is awesome! And might the last one be Dickens' Santa of Christmas past?

Wow, all of your captures are amazing. Yeah, sometimes clouds are being in the right place at the right time. But also having the right settings... the images are simply beautiful.

These are out of this world--fantastic! I saw Santa in the clouds before I read your caption! That was fun.

Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!
