Yes, I remember this as a wee kid and at the old homestead my mother grew up at. I have two of these, one at the cabin as cabin decor, another tall one in the barn waiting for a bucket full of water for the birds, maybe next spring. We woke to 18F degrees...cold, ice on the birdbath.

its hard to believe it wasn't that long ago that people used these.
I think if we had to use this pump our water bill would be lower !
