Header Challenge 16-012 Tree - by Tom

Welcome to the header Challenge.
Its Toms choice of theme this week - which is = Tree-or-Trees,, what tree and why photograph it.

But before I tell you about my tree - just click and play my music,
Let me take you back in time and listen to Mario Lanza singing Trees.

My header Tree - I think its a Beach Tree?
From the Grounds of Belton House
Just look at the Sun shining and showing her Autumn Colours.

Here's my tale of  Peachy-Beachy - (nickname) and how I came to photograph her.

Well its like this you see --
I often visit Belton House - as its only 3 miles from Grantham and I
am a member of the National Trust.

Peachy Beachy is just off the pathway from the House to the lakes,
so I mostly pass her on my way to the lakes to photograph the Geese and such.
I remember the very1st time I passed her, on a cold early winters day on my way to the lakes, there was a rustle in the air, I stopped and turned around, saw nothing and carried on.
This seemed to happen every time I passed Peachy, but was non the wiser until -
the day came when I photographed Peachy.

It happened like this -

It was a very sunny Autumns day, with plenty of colour around,
as I passed Peachy - I again heard the rustle, once again I stopped and turned around, as always, no one was there - so off I set, but then I heard a  whisper (photograph me please) - I turned - not a person in sight, looking around - nothing - so off I go onto the lakes - when that whisper came once more
(photograph me please) I stopped and looked, NO, no one there - so again off I go to the lakes.
Now
On my way back from the lakes and as I was on the lookout, I passed Peachy - as a whisper came once more- (photograph me please), I carried on and suddenly I tripped and went flying - ending on my belly looking straight up at Peachy, where I saw the scene - as my Header shows - such a beauty was Peachy, the sun shining through her colourful leaves, showing me what I could have missed
As I still laid there, I photographed Peachy in all her glory.
I got up and walked away saying thank you Peachy, when she answered me- you are welcome and thank you for photographing me Stewart.

Now I always give Peachy a pat and say hello and I mostly just hear a slight happy rustle.

Here are some more trees from Belton House Grounds

 Ho, here's Christopher photographing,,,,,

 My Mate, BH.

Julie, having a rest - a diseased tree cut down and carved into a seat with what was left.

Ahh - an invite to go in for a glass of lemonade - shall we?

Hey - how on earth did that one get in here!!.

  7. These are a lot of fun. The photo with the little B&W guy makes me think of the Ransom Riggs novel "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children." A beautiful post.
