1st let us say a hello and welcome to our new 6th member to join the Headbangers.
Kathy of Katneys Kaboodle
Hope you enjoy your 1st week my friend.
""Sanguine"" - is our Header Challenge this week and by Lanny.
Google says- Colour,Mood,Personality,Joyful, Blood,+more, but I'll let you Google if you want to know more.
Ive chosen sanguine Colour - A Redish colour tending to Brown.
As my Header shows, Deep Red with a tinge of Brown Cliffs from Dawlish in Devon.
A Public Garden near the Train Station with a rowboat full of flowers, backed by these Sanguine Colour Cliffs.
If you have never been to Dawlish and traveled along the main line from London to Penzance in Cornwall, then you are in for a thrill - as you travel past Dawlish and through the tunnels of these magnificent Sanguine Cliffs with the sea on one side and cliffs on the other side.
Ive traveled many times along these tracks - on the way to St Ives in Cornwall.
This line is in danger - as the cliffs at times crumble and slide down and block the line - also if its
a rough day and the tides is up - I remember one time we traveled and the sea was breaking over the wall and splashing on the carriages windows.
Here you see one of the main line traveler on its way from Cornwall passing through Dawlish.
This is Dawlish Station and its beach, as you can see, its a very pleasant place to visit.
Dawlish is also famous for its Black Swan.
More info about Dawlish HERE.
Go see what the other members have chosen for Lannys Sanguine.
You will find these nice folk on my side bar near my shield.
Good-Luck Folks.

Mac: Neat header, the plants also meets the header challenge.
It's ages since I have been on a train, especially on a journey through such a colourful area.
Nice railway pictures
Greetings,
Filip
Where have I been once again! busy at work I guess! I can't believe I had so much to catch up on, I loved all the photos, the buildings, the swan, trees, railway, beach, oh my goodness I spent 20 minutes catching up! You have been a traveling man my friend! BEAUTIFUL!
That swan is very beautiful. The whole place is amazing. Great stuff!
Amazing ride! And a new meaning to "surf's up!"
Gorgeous shots! That black swan photo is amazing.
Your photos are wonderful as always...be still my heart! That header photo with the marigolds, lobelia and dark leaf cannas..ooh la la!
Oh my word! Look at that header!
Beautiful shots all through, Stewart.
I love a train (my son is an engineer...but I don't ride trains often.) Your shots of the train are fantastic.
Hugs,
Jackie
I love train travel, it is such a delightful way to go about. When I was a teenager I took a jet to my sister's in California, it was horrid. The next time I went I took the train, I was in love. I love being in them and being outside them watching them go by.
From your discription this particular ride would be delightful. In our area if there is a teensy slide and dirt gets on the track they close the runs down for days. Not sure how our safety-first folks would feel about sea water crashing over the passenger train. What a thrill that would be.
Beautiful shots, Stewart ! Love the colourfulness of your header, and also these railway shots. I assume only the sanguine take the train when surf's up ?
