The Steam railway runs from Llangollen in Wales to Carrog, which is around a 20 minute ride.
For most of the way the Steam Train runs by the side of the Canal and also the River Dee through some of Wales wonderful countryside.

The Header Challenge - tonight will be Steaming ahead with some wonderful shots of "UNDERWATER"
I love trains.......are you ready to remove that header of some of your fans?
ReplyDeleteWe don't have steam engines like that. Here in Mobile I don't even know if we still have passenger trains. I know New Orleans does. Curious now.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo.
I like these old-style trains, in Brazil there are some too and a few of them even have entertainers on board for the delight of tourists! :)
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!

Oh how I love trains, Mac... I'd love to take a ride on that one. My Dad worked for the railroad so I was around trains my entire life... They are special to me.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck with the header challenge.

No comments necessary when it comes to Stinky and trains. Stinky loves railways. I'm starting to find a new interest in canals now too for some obscure reason.
ReplyDeleteFeels like you stepped by in time. Great shots.
ReplyDeleteMmmmm. You're sure making me want to visit that place and explore. River, canal, railway, walks, fantastic views and all in one place. Interesting 'attitudes' of the driver and fireman. Nicely done sir!
ReplyDeleteThere is something lovely and theraputic about these photos Imac.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you change the babies for?
Sign on the luggage shot.
I have made this same trip in my younger years, we had many family holidays in this beautiful area.
