The Llangollen Canal is probably the most beautiful canal in Britain, certainly it's the most popular. The scenery varies from isolated sheep pastures to ancient peat mosses, from tree lined lakes to the foothills of Snowdonia.
In the last shot we are on the River Dee looking at the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, which will be featured in the next post
(Hope you have a head for heights here lol) For more info on the Canal = click here.
Thank you for bringing back such lovely childhood memories of Wales. I had forgotten what a charming place it is.
ReplyDeleteYou have inspired me to dig though boxes of old photos!
Sunny :)
Awesome! It all looks so clean and well-tended. I'd love to visit there someday...
ReplyDeleteThe water is so still, I love the reflections here!! Would make a great puzzle!
ReplyDeletethe bridge looks to be very deceiving. I am sure it is very high up and from that standing point does not look that large. That is a beautiful view though. You need to go stand on the bridge and take a pic looking down!
ReplyDeleteAgain a very beautiful landscape. For canals you could as well go to Amsterdam! Just kidding!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!

I am still thrilled to see such wonderful structures as this Aqueduct.
ReplyDeleteYou are in a lovely area Imac. Be well, have fun.
Well composed collection, imac.
ReplyDeleteSurprised you didn't come across any canalboats on your travels along the water.
ReplyDeleteI would walk along the shores of the canal. Lovely spot.
ReplyDeleteI must admit that I'm not only impressed with the architecture of the structures...but also the composition of your photos.
