My World UK
Comes from the Hole of Horcum -(click to see) North Yorkshire - on the road from Pickering to Whitby.
This is the lay-by to park in - where you can view the Hole of Horcum from.
This photo was shot straight into the sun, as the sun melts the snow, hence the wet road reflecting.

That is one great place and it must be impressive to see it for real.
Looks like it could almost go on forever! Weve got our AC on here...
How beautiful! always love it when I learn something I didn't know from all the lovely posts on My World! This was one of those, thank you! Have a great week!
The Hole of Horcum... it sounds like a title for a wonderful picture-book story, but I *love* the photos of it as a real place instead! I'd never heard of it, but I enjoyed my visit, imac, thanks!
Looks expansive and spacious.
wow wonderful picture! Many thanks for share this moment!
wonderful place - the snow emphasises the contours - there is a farm at the bottom and a mutual friend had many a tale to tell about the place.
Great winter shots as always.
Have a great week!

Sounds like place for a childrens book. Very impressive landscape. Your new header is astonishing too.
Those are amazing shots and the way you shot into the sun made it very dramatic. I like the reflective quality on the road.

What a nifty place. Dramatic landscape, Imac!
Mac: What a neat shot of the hole. I came by earlier and could see anything. Blogger must have problems today.
Great photo and looks like a great walk. Nice to see the map at the other end of the link, too.
Hello Stewart xxx
imac, I've been surfing your blog and enjoying the ride immensely. What a tremendous hpliday you had! Yorkshire is just so beautiful scenically and has so much to offer historically as well.

This I Do...
This could have been a scenic view of Jane Eyre's wandering . So full of loneliness. Suppose you were walking there at night and all by yourself! Very beautiful, Imac! The pictures are great!
What a beautiful landscape !
This looks like it would be a marvelous hike. Thanks sharing this with us.
Looks like a great place, Imac.
Great myworld posting.
Ineresting place! Was this carved out by glaciers or some other geological event? Your vacation looks like you had a fabulus time!
I see some gorge bushes in your photo. These are great because I bet when everything is green you can't really see the gorge for the trees.
