WOW, those are amazing pictures! Love your ship pics too!
ReplyDeleteTake care and thanks for sharing your world with us!!
These are incredible! Can't imagine living near enough to see such things on any regular basis. Love your ships above, too!
ReplyDeleteAll 3 look quite impressive, but Harlaxton is a big WOW! After reading a bit about it, it reminds me a bit of Flagler College in Saint Augustine, FL. Once a fine mansion, now a college. Lucky students all!
ReplyDeleteAh, these beautiful castles! Great! I also love your ships! I was once in Falmouth many years ago. Loved it very much!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
Mac: What a great looking castle. that place is really large.
ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous places but I think I've actually been to Belton House, if I'm not mistaken. Did they film "Sense and Sensibility" there?
ReplyDeleteOh my - those are your weekend homes?
ReplyDeleteWonderful! And the comparison to Flagler College is appropriate.
Actually - I think I will show a shot of it in my tomorrows MyWorld post!
Cheers, Klaus
What beautiful buildings. I didn't know that Lincolnshire had such places. I always imagined it to be "cottagey". Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteI must say you do have some nice houses! I wouldn't like to be the one pay for the upkeep of these
ReplyDeleteCan anyone say "edifice complex"?
ReplyDeleteSeriously, these are some imposing looking places!
Oh and the tall ships... there's a... rally? exhibition? of such vessels that takes place (I think) annually in or near Beaufort (NC, USA) where the state Maritime Museum is located. to date, I've not had (or taken) the time to see it, but after seeing these, I may had to make the time next round!
These buildings seem to step right out of fairytale land! They are just so magical and romantic!
ReplyDeleteWonderful images of magnificent buildings!
ReplyDeleteYour castle is way different than the castlelike one I posted today.
Looking forward to seeing more Imac!
The road to the Harlaxton Manor reminds me very much of going home. There are a multitude of similarities like... there was a road, trees, air, um... light. Yes, it's practically the same! ;-)
ReplyDeleteBoy, the English sure know how to live! Great photos, imac! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like what I think of when imagine England. The English have such good taste. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI just love those pictures amazing thanks for stopping by

ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous shots thanks for sharing your world.
ReplyDeleteWonderful to see the grand houses in your vicinity. Lovely to see them but I for one would not like to be responsile for dusting them.
ReplyDeleteAll 3 are so stately and huge looking! You know that I'm glad to see Harlaxton, of course, since I graduated from the Evansville campus. You live in a wonderful area if these are all close. I'm always amazed at the history of your country.
ReplyDeleteThe last photo with that road going to the manor was soooo great!
ReplyDeleteI have visited all three and these pictures do them full justice
ReplyDeletei have to say that these two posts are amazing - your world post and the ships. Gorgeous and huge.
ReplyDeleteAwesome post!
ReplyDeleteI love the framing on the second!
ReplyDeleteThis architecture is surely a treasure of history! Have a nice week and thanks for your comments.
Great photos, Stewart. I'm looking forward to seeing more of these lovely places through your eyes.
