Tuesday - Terence the Tramp Day.
ello, member me? Im Terence the Tramp. I left the Big ouse choppin wood an now roamed a little thru the country side an come accross Dick an family the Gypsies, they asked me to hold up with them a while - so ere I am with Dick an family. This life like mine - simple. No worries. Roam free.
Hmm not sure about that Tom, we see a lot round our way - although the last lot at Wareham roundabout unloaded thier horses off a trailer - that's not quite right I'm sure.
Real gypsies? When I was a kid, gypsies visited out little hamlet every summer. They stayed for a couple of days, at a farmer's meadow by the woods, did their wash in the brook, sharpened all the knives and scissors of the village people (about a dozen farmers), and then moved on. Everybody looked forward to seeing them again the next year.

Sounds like the good life to me but I'm sure there are disadvantages. In the picture it looks like fun!
This is a scene you don't see that often now Imac..
A bygone rural view.

Lovely idyllic scene.
LOL Lizzy - think you're right about that. Hardly traditional!
