Locks at Woolsthorpe By Belvoir.
The Locks at Woolsthorpe By Belvoir are being renovated so that when they put boats on the Grantham Canal hoping this will bring in a lot of people for their pleasure.
The old C&O that Isadora mentions run past only a few miles from my home. The only thing left of it in my area is the runins of the locks and a ditch. This is much nicer by far.
The second picture of the lock is fabulous. It really captures the pull and push of water, the engineering, the patina that comes through use. A great shot.
It reminds me of the C&O Canal in Washington, DC Amazing the things people can do in order to transport goods.
