Staithes and area Post 1 (North Yorkshire) UK

Welcome to Nrs Nesbitts part of the Country. Staithes
Staithes is a very old village, there has been many a Artist paint it. This is one of the Ally-ways from the main drag(road) thought this would lookl nice in B/W.
This is the main drag of Staithes it runs from top of the hill - right down to the Harbour. Its the only way in or out of Staithes.

This is a shot from the right bank showing the Harbour. Staithes is steeped in history and an old village port at one time(see link to Staithes.) -----To be continued.

  10. I realize how little I know about the UK. This is such a wonderful set of pictures. You have done the country proud and I would love to visit there myself.

  11. Oh my...the main drag is very beautiful. Such a narrow street with the front of homes right on the side (or 'curb') - lovely!
    And unique..

In my area, this main drag would also be considered an alley. We have streets such as this around Marietta town square but they're never used for much. But during warm months some of the restaurants use them to set up extra outdoor dining tables.
