Welcome to Nrs Nesbitts part of the Country. Staithes
Staithes is a very old village, there has been many a Artist paint it. This is one of the Ally-ways from the main drag(road) thought this would lookl nice in B/W.
This is the main drag of Staithes it runs from top of the hill - right down to the Harbour. Its the only way in or out of Staithes.
This is a shot from the right bank showing the Harbour. Staithes is steeped in history and an old village port at one time(see link to Staithes.) -----To be continued.

ReplyDeleteGreat, I love the colors, it makes me happy.
ReplyDeleteHi Mike
ReplyDeleteIjust love the way villages were built all without any planning, they have character.
Great photographs.
Did I type Mike when it should have been Mac?
ReplyDeleteWrist duly slapped and am about to stand in the corner for 1 hour.
Charming place
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful village!
ReplyDeleteAll the older buildings in the European countries have so much character.
ReplyDeleteLove the view
I've never been here but it is on my list of places to visit now... and you were right about the B&W.
ReplyDeleteThanks for asking how I am.. to be honest I'm still not 100%.. but I'm seeing the nurse tomorrow at my doctors and then again at the Heart Clinic on Thursday.
Beautifully quaint shots imac.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors in those photos!! Beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteCharming... the first pic looks a little like Lynmouth, N Devon.
ReplyDeleteIt's on my list to visit next time I'm in UK.
... and that reminds why I would love to return to England with myu watercolours and camera.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteI realize how little I know about the UK. This is such a wonderful set of pictures. You have done the country proud and I would love to visit there myself.
ReplyDeleteOh my...the main drag is very beautiful. Such a narrow street with the front of homes right on the side (or 'curb') - lovely!
ReplyDeleteAnd unique..
In my area, this main drag would also be considered an alley. We have streets such as this around Marietta town square but they're never used for much. But during warm months some of the restaurants use them to set up extra outdoor dining tables.
Ooooooooooooooooh! Wonderful! I was there only a few days ago.
ReplyDeleteI am totally in awe of all this beauty!!!
ReplyDeletespectacular beati
ReplyDeleteooooh no wonder it is an artist's paradise, just looking at these pix makes me itch to paint it!
