Header Challenge 05-12-12 = Straight & Curved Lines / within a Church or House. // by iMac

Welcome to my Choice week or our contest of Header Challenge.
This week - Ive chosen = Straight & Curved Lines-within a Church or House.

My Header comes from Chichester Cathedral.

While J and I was spending some time in Chichester for Julies step daughters Wedding  we spent a while in the Cathedral, now there are some Beautiful pieces of Art and many lines to see, but as I turned to walk down the far Isle, I stood and looked, for my Header had caught my eye, as you can see.

Nothing special, but so special was this scene, it had it all.
Straight Lines, Curved Lines, and colour to finish off with.

see for yourselves

everywhere you look in the photo you can see  Straight and Curved lines
Just adjust my position  and zoom a  little and there we have it.
Todays Header.

Now for my Post pics which comes from Lincoln Cathedral

The Cloisters - always a special for a photo.

Now this is just magic, A pillar up to the roof with Lines.

As you enter Lincoln Cathedral, you certainly are met with Lines everywhere.

Now For something special - as we entered Lincoln Cathedral, the sun was shining thru the windows and reflecting the colours from the windows onto the floor and the pillars too - such a fantastic sight to see - Reflecting colours onto the lines.

I do hope you have enjoyed my Straight and Curved lines, so now please go and visit the other Headbangers and see their take on my theme, you will find these good folk on my side bar, near my shield.

GOOD LUCK.

All of your photos are marvelous. The colors, as well as the straight and curved lines, are fantastic. Thanks for including the Lincoln Cathedral photo as well.

Mac: Very nicely captured my friend. You certainly found a great cathedral to capture. I had to go to Europe for my post also.

Magnificent!! I thought you might use one of the cathedrals as your subject. The workmanship in them is amazing and you images are superb.

I took a photo of the sun through the stained glass, but was falling on the floor instead. Well worth a visit as you know.

OUTSTANDING! The gothic church is a monument to some kind of optimism. Your photos blow me away.

P.S. Since January is a linen month in the US, I'll go with that for the 9 Jan. header challenge: linen.

It looks like an artists paint palet has exploded on the ceiling and walls, it is so beautiful. I think if I were there it would make me cry!
