Header Challenge 08-02-12 - Garden Birds - by Dave.

Todays Header is brought to you by Dave, who has been very busy over a few weeks -BUT - Now he's back - welcome home old friend.

Theme this week (GARDEN BIRDS).

My Header is a friendly Blackbird gathering twigs etc for his nest from the side of my Pebble Pond.
This was taken a couple of years ago as we have had them nesting in our Garden for the last couple of years.
I know - I need to do some weeding, my excuse is it gives them a little shade, lol.

As My Header is a Blackbird - my music and song from Youtube is
The Blackbird song by the Wurzels - Im sure you will enjoy.......
My Posts are -- The famous UK Robin Redbreast - Resting on one of our planting pots - Looks a proud little devil - wot say you?

Here we have on the left Sparrow with 2 Starlings - dont think the middle bird -Starling is very happy about the Sparrow landing on their perch - My tree root from Canada(upside down) makes a wonderful perch for all our birds.

Next we have the 2 Starlings - seems as if they have booted the Sparrow off the perch.

Around my pebble pond again wefind we  have a Songthrush and he's found a grub, hungry little begger-aint he,lol.

Last - but not least - we have a Bluetit.in the nesting box - really enjoyed watching Mr and Mrs Bluetit in and out quite a lot of times - I have a shot where he seems to have got stuck in the hole - you can see where they have been making the hole bigger. - never satisfied are they. - Oh what a pity it was - when we got back from holidaying the little ones had flown and gone - boo-hoo.

Well that concludes my Garden Birds - fly over to the other Headbangers and see what Garden Birds they have  up.
As always  - you will find these good folk by my shield in my side bar.

Good Luck. Folks.

These are more wonderful pictures. I really like the picture of the Bluetit peeking out of the birdhouse. Your header is great as well.

Mac: Love it, kind of looks like we did these together except I didn't show a Robin.

Well you certainly get some colourful visitors to your garden. Must try and attract a few more into the garden this year. Although that bird table we got from Belton House doesn't get used very much for some reason

Great set of birds, looks like you have a regular selection of visitors in your garden of the feathered variety. I especially like the robin very regal looking.

Quite the bird sanctuary you have there. It must be quite a symphony of chirps and songs...

Hi Stewart! I don't know how I missed commenting on this post, but since I love to come back and look at blogs again, I noticed that I didn't comment. And you KNOW that Jackie will have her "say"..:))) (My hubby says that I sometimes don't know when to hush...Must be a vicious rumor! Can't imagine what he's talking about!!!) :))
Your robin redbreast looks a little different from ours. Yours is a beautiful delicate-looking bird. I love birds and photos of them. Mama feed birds (and squirrels, foxes, owls...you name it...Mama and Daddy feed the creatures of the outside world.)
Great photos. I love the color in the first shot...and smile at the starlings giving the sparrow "the look." Looks like it worked.
Take care, my friend...and have a good weekend.
Hugs and smiles,
Jackie
