Birthday Boy

Birthday Boy - Bill Singlehurst was celebrating his Birthday on the same day as DW was.We met in the View Restaurant(and what a beautiful meal it was too) on the Saga Ruby ship on its return trip from Norway.

Wet Morning in Bergen

After a nice Sunset on Wednesday evening, we awoke to a very wet morning as we entered Bergen.
Docking around 8am, we had a hearty English breakfast, then we checked out from our ship - Saga Ruby - at 10am.
We were on our way to meet up with my Good Blogging friend Rune Eide, who was going to show us the Beautiful sites of Bergen.


Here's Julie(DW) Rune and our 2 friends from Grantham, we all looked like drowned rats, including me, as I kept wiping down my wet camera.
Later that day it brightened up a little and the sun came out to dry us off.
In the last photo you see Rune and DW sitting on Rune's Bench(the one that the birds had splatted in Rune's Blog.)

Had a great time, and saw lots of interesting places and lots of history from this great man.

Thanks RuneE for a very memorable meeting, we all enjoyed the day with you. (despite the rain in the morning). Julie and I send our regards to you and to your dear wife. You are truly a Real friend.

Having to sort out over 1000 pics, so will be a short while before I blog photos from Norway.
