Tree house info.
For a truly unique and very memorable day out, go to The Treehouse in Alnwick Gardens. Set in the grounds of Alnwick Castle, it’s one of the largest wooden treehouses in the world. You might recognise the gothic Alnwick Castle – it’s Hogwarts wizard school from the Harry Potter movies.
Built around 16 mature lime trees, Alnwick Treehouse is a 6,000 sq ft complex of turreted cottages linked by suspended walkways, high in the trees outside the walls of the main garden. It’s a place for children and adults to learn, play and relax. And although it’s 60 feet high, there’s access via a ramp so The Treehouse, its rope bridges and walkways in the sky are accessible to everyone, including wheelchair users.
The Treehouse was built using natural materials from sustainable resources including Canadian Cedar, Scandinavian Redwood and English and Scotch pine, and the quirky design is so at home in its environment that it looks as if The Treehouse has grown out of the ground.

Mac: Truly a unique house, you have the leg up on this one so far.
Wow!.... not at all what I expected at all my friend... yours is the first I've seen. Mine pales into insignificance compared to this... truely jaw dropping.
Oh my goodness this is going to be hard. I saw FG's and I thought his was good. Now THIS is what I call a tree house. And it's in Northumberland. So as a Northumberland lass I gotta love this one.
It is good though. Well done!
Wow, this is a very cool butcher block house. Not very defensible in the event of fire. You got some really great captures.
There is a Tree House resort in Takilma Oregon that is very popular.
OK, I've looked at FG and now yours, and this is so far a tough choice.
You are right, magnificent!
And that bridge is also fabulous!
You won! :)

I cannot imagine living there but it would be different.
LOVE the new header of this fabulous tree house!
You've brought the house down once again with this image. Definitely not the wooden spoon this week.
You've got a beautiful header with this magnificent tree house. I don't know how this can be beat, but I'm off to check the other entries.
Awesome...I know that's an over used word but I can't think of anything else to say!
That truly is a one of a kind house.
Sunny :)
OH I would love to go on a tour through the tree house! Loved the header!
Every kid's dream: a tree house.
I'm a kid at heart.
I'll take two!
This is the most gorgeous home...much less 'tree house'....
You have a winner here, Imac!
Jackie
Hi Mac, That 'tree house' is much better built I think than the one I sent you... This one is fantastic. It probably cost alot more than Crossville's tree house.
I've checked out Darla's and Tom's ---and they both did well also.
Betsy
Very interesting place and in my opinion, your header wins hands down this time.
That is one fantastic tree house! And a great header! I remembered you posting the bridge last year.
Stunning stuff, I have visited the area but missed this sight!
Are you sure it's not made of gingerbread? :)
Great photos bonny lad! ..and to think I live a few miles away (well, about 20) and have not yet been in the tree house!
What an amazing place! and well done imac.
Love Granny
This house ties with Bilbo's hobbit hole as my favourite house. It's quite something!!
Beautiful imac, what a unique structure and you captured it so well!
