That is the way I originally thought all awards were but sadly I found out you only get them when you share your award with 7, 9 or more "significant" others.
I often thought it would be a smart idea to offer something, like a new laptop, to the best photograph seen on a blog on a given day.
I was going to give a new Dell desktop away like that but my wife made me put it in the corner of the closet.
Now, a new desk-top would have been nice :-) , not to mention all the cameras I could lay my hands on.
Otherwise, Abe said it: One to one.
(and he deserves one, so I'll nominate him).

lol abe i like the contests that you can make up and do as you see fit.. i hardly ever play along with the you have to ones... they are just not what i think they should be.
So many photos to choose from, it's going to take you ages to pick one. This means even more time on the computer!

Before I started blogging I never got an award, now I have so many that all others have too, that I don't know where to put them anymore. I think I should make a special blog for awards.
But of course I would be very flattered if one of my photos are chosen.
