What an incredible bridge. I love old bridges. And the other historical markers are interesting too. I remember not having a TV when I was a young child living in Europe and I was born in 1959!
I do remember reading about the World Cup in England in 1966. Unfortunately (or fortunately as the case may be) I don't remember any of the earlier events.
Only the football team are in my time frame, but I do remember the old phones, my Dad bought one second hand at a market and I played with it for years. It didn't smell very nice, Bakelite I think.

I think the BBC News picture comes from a long time after 1922 - remember it well, watching it on the old 12" B&W set.
Mac do you remember the interludes: the potters wheel & the horse drawn plough?
Vintage! Cool post Imac, and a great idea!
