Doorway to Heaven
I was out on a photographing shoot the other day, when I came across this Church Yard. I felt that this scene just drew me to it, it says so many things and creates many thoughts. What thoughts go through your mind as you look at this photograph??
I have a thing about grave yards.. it might be their atmosphere but most likely my own thoughts.. you asked what this picture made me think of... I always think of loved ones who have past... my mum and dad.. older brother and many others... I have a link for you to follow if you have time. It is a poem I have always liked called WE ARE SEVEN by Wordsworth
my little mind finds such peace and wonder in cemetaries... I often think of the families generations back and what all they did to make this a beautiful place and the sorrow of losing loved ones...all rolled into one big emotion.
I must admit that I see it as a photographer - the shapes fit so well and is placed in a juxtaposition that automatically leads the eye from one to the other.
UMM love the solitude to just reflect. What a peaceful place to sit and just talk. Even if it is an "alone" talk. Sometimes those talks are the most important and I feel so much better. I am myselfs best listener!

The German word for cemetery is Friedhof, literally "place of peace". I think it's very appropriate, don't you?
It makes me feel lonely and isolated, and I really want someone to open that door for me so that I can see out.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me...John 14: 6
I am the door; by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture... John 10:9

Secret garden....
I was going to mention the great visual juxtaposition, but RuneE already mentioned that...
Nice shot, it gets me thinking privacy.
Makes me think of Khalil Gibran - 'Every end is a new beginning.'
