Skywatch (33)

My Skywatch comes from Pickering N Yorkshire UK.

The 1st pic is our last night with a super sunset.

Ive lassoed DW inversed

then lightened up the spot where DW stood, as I wanted to show the full colour of the sky and also show DW - this way I got full sky colour and DW.

This Crane caught my eye

To get what I wanted I had to crop slightly

Shooting straight into the sun, I captured a silhouette leaning on a lamp-post,

brings back the memory of the song by George Formby-

- I'm leaning on a lamp-post -

(for the full post of this - scroll down a few posts in my blog)

Between Pickering and Thirsk (nr Sutton Bank)

is Byland Abbey

The atmosphere was just right when we arrived there, it had been raining and was dull, with a patch of light grey sky shining through the windows - also the field was flooded - to create a reflection

To lean more -Google "Byland Abbey"

My last pic is from our last night sunset, with the cabin in.

Skywatch and My World goes hand in hand.

Nice selection - the abbey is beautiful, and your photo with the reflection does it full justice.

The picture you took of DW and the sunset is so precious. I think it was very clever to lighten it up so that you can see both! I have to say the photo of Byland Abbey is the best I've seen. It makes a perfect header.
