Another case, this one provided by nature, of the mundane becoming art.

I will have an Odd Shot from nature this week, too. Mine is more of a puzzle than art. It will post near midnight, as it is not yet Monday here.

Hi Imac
Yesterday the Meteorological Service announced that this year in Central Greece where I live, the height of rains for the winter that passed it was only 2 mms.
Something roughly as the Sahara!
Therefore it waited for I take also i certain similar photographs very shortly

I like the way you captured the pattern of the cracked earth!

I've always thought dried mud that cracked like this was interesting. A good, odd, catch.

Nature itself creates the most beautiful patterns. Sometimes I can't help reflecting upon that in nature beauty comes often through "wounds".

You know since the digital age of camera, many take shots like this because they are beautiful art but we wouldn't have wasted film on it 20 years ago. I LOVE IT!

I have seen many a riverbeds look just like this, half way into one of hot, dry summers. Hopefully this doesn't happen in southeast Texas this year. Even our skin starts looking like this.
Great shot~

Wonderful shot... looks like Death Valley, here in the States.

Your poem to your Mum is beautiful, also... my belated condolences.
