How fun! I'm sure a long wait is ahead for those wanting to pass! The only things I ever have to wait for crossing the road on Cape Cod are the occasional family of ducks, skunks, or a turtle!

It has been many years since I've seen a herd of anything in the road like that. They are beautiful and the scenery behind them is also.

Now that is a photo I like. It is like it used to be over here. Not anymore as farmers sold out or moved or stopped owning animals like these. So nothing is on the farms.

Oh I do LOVE sheep!

I see sheep daily as I travel our roads here, but of course they are kept on farms with fences....not free to wander in the roads. I thought to myself this morning that I would like to stop and get a shot of one. No where to stop....but I think at some point I will park somewhere and just walk for a bit so I can get a shot.

Oh I do LOVE Sheep!

Love the sheep and the scenery!

Occasionally my husbands goats get out but usually only one at the time...never seen them all out on the road at one time. All he has to do is get a bucket and they will follow him right back through the gate.

Great photo - I've never seen that many animals crossing the road! Only a few here and there.

I'm curious, how long did it take them to move on?

Those sheep are big, i love sheep, i used to raise the lambs that were born when the momma died from giving birth, my uncle raised sheep.

I used to find that sheep aren't so bad to bad to drive through as they scatter nimbly - Highland cattle are somewhat more difficult. One I encountered on a single-track road took half an hour to be persuaded to move.

I love this. I have decided that this is my favorite for the Photo Hunt. I wish I were home enough to keep sheep here. Although: My neighbors used to have a couple escape-artist sheep. They were always in the road wandering around and the drivers would stop and help put them back in the pasture. The sheep have since moved to a different farm.

My Photo Hunt is on a different blog:
