Kings Ransom Post 3

All seemed that the King and all his people were doomed, when suddenly George the Dragon turned up and said that if he flew around the countries to look for water he could return and report if he found any water. The King and all his people were so pleased that George was to help them. 2 days later George the dragon was ready to set off to search for water. As he flew into the sky, he circled twice - then flew off, while the King and all his people waved him bye.

The National Cash Register Company where I first worked after being discharged from the Army, sold me a great wooden desk that had seen many years of service.

I painted it a blend of reds and blacks and lacquered it. It looked like it just got here from China.

Then across the whole front was a large handpainted dragon that had gold leaf on the ridges down its back. It was quite beautiful in my office and a kind of work of art of my own creation. I later sold the desk to a former school teacher.

Your dragon reminded me of that.

I hope he doesn't come to Georgia. We are very short on water right now.

I've seen this depiction of this dragon before; it is so odd. The limbs are all this way and that. Not very frightening.
