YORKSHIRE STEAM.

Thats my photo for today.

If you have never travelled on a steam train yet, this is the place to do so.

There's thrills abound, travelling through valleys of green and forests.

North Yorks Steam Railway starts at Pickering and ends at Grosmont, travelling north your 1st stop is at Levisham, with its beautiful forest drives and walks. Another stop is Goathland, better known as Aidensfield. End of the line is Grosmont with its 1950s railway junction and station cafe also the engine sheds are a must to visit. Sometimes the steam train will travel on to Whitby.

Great pix DH! Are you going to be giving any of your secrets away - like what inspires you to take a pic?

That is a wonderful photo of the trains. They have always seemed to be an important form of transportation in England, at least that's what I gather from reading, but here in the states, it's cars, cars, cars.

That's our loss, I think.

Did you know that Harry Potter film was shot at Goathland Station?

We often visit here. Hubby does quite a lot of work for NYMR!

Great stuff!
