My Header
A CIRCUMZENITHAL ARC
Commonly known as - An upside down Rainbow.
A very Rare Feature to be seen (so Im led to believe).
Alas - there is no Pot of Gold to be found at the end of these Rainbows.
Photos from Home
Santa Claus in the sky (can YOU see Him?)
Full Moon in the Clouds
Clouds - within the Eye.
Iceland
The Boiling water Geysir which shoots every few minutes, You can tell when they are about to BLOW - there's bubbles, and then Whoosh.
You've heard of the MIDNIGHT SUN - well this is it.
Taken above Iceland at 3minutes past midnight - Midnight sun in the clouds
What a thing to see, and the Sun Rises again at 3am.
Icelandic Gull with a little cloud - sailing on to Norway
Norway
Two thirds of the Mountains in Cloud
Rain spots on camera as the Clouds come down to meet the Lake.
What a beautiful sight to see.
Clouds below. (Antique filter)
This was such an amazing sight, we were on the way up to see the Glacier (which you all will be able to see on FB soon)
No, we didn't walk all the way up, the coach took us so far, then transferred to little tractor type trucks (made by John Deere) they have a depot about 8 miles from where we live which took us up a narrow winding pathway to within walking distance of the Glacier.
I hope ev1 has enjoyed my showing of - Whats in the Clouds by Kathy.
Now go to my side bar -near my shield and visit the other HEADBANGERS and see their take on this weeks theme.
GOOD LUCK.
You can rightfully keep your head in the clouds with this one!
ReplyDeleteAn amazing photographer, you are!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots and my first time EVER seeing an inverted rainbow. What wonderful shots you capture, my dear friend!
Phenomenal!! I didn't know about your smile in the sky (the circumzenithal arc) until today. I looked it up and found some other interesting things. That song transported me back a few decades... I loved it!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you do it, Imac. But your photos consistently have a wow factor, and a person could never get tired of seeing the brilliant work you produce!
Indeed these images have the "WOW" factor! Hard to pick a favorite, but the clouds meeting the lake and the midnight sun are awesome!
ReplyDeleteAmazing shots! You must have had a fantastic time!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Mac, enjoyed your trip in the clouds. Did you get those final shots on your cruise?
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Stewie. Hope you've had a great time. You've got some good photos here. My choice of music would have been Kate Bush's Cloudbusting
ReplyDeleteWow---fabulous cloud photos. I couldn't choose a fav... I love the rainbow --but the reflection one is fabulous... I also loved the geyser --as it reminded me of Yellowstone. Fabulous photos... Bet you took a trillion photos.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
