We're Back in Harness folks. Also will be posting more on my blog too.
My choice for our Header Challenge this week is 12-(dozen).
My music is from the film The Dirty Dozen.
My Header is the famous 12 Synchronised Gull Flying Team from Suffolk, flying at The Snape Maltings - Suffolk.
Here you see them showing their skill at landing and taking off again - which won them the Golden Egg for the 4th year running.
My Posts.
Here are the Wannabee Gulls for this years Team.
Here you see the Team chosen - practising - 15 in all, 12 Team flyers and 3 in reserve for the show in 6 months time.
Here we are - at the Snape Maltings Suffolk - the day of the competition.
A fine and sunny day.
Here the amazing Team of 12 doing their Synchronised flying of landing and taking off again - which won them the Golden Egg for the 4th year running ...
Here's this years Judges - Mr and Mrs Reed, who have had 12 years experience of judging the
Gulls Flypast Extravaganza Show.
Please go visit the other members of the Headbangers and see what they have come up with for their

Mac: Fun gull photo, very nice. I could count 12. Welcome back to the pack.
HA HA HA---what a great post. How creative... Love seeing the synchronised gulls... Bet they had to practice for years and years and years to do that!!!!!!! ha ha (LOVE IT.)

Practice is very important and to practice requires a great deal of patience. The gulls have a much easier time of it than we do. :-)
Bet the Red Arrows could learn a thing or two from their close formation flying. They just need to have some coloured smoke coming out of their tail feathers!
This place you went is very nice ! very clean and serene ! (I enjoyed the "Dirty Dozens" in the late 80s)
I enjoyed seeing the Gull Flying Team in practice and in their performance. They are every bit as good as the Dirty Dozen.
Welcome back big guy, hope you and Julie are doing well. Your photos are awesome as usual. I had to have some repair work done on my hip so I am pretty much housebound with tons of restrictions until the 24th....
Ha ha! Great commentary! Glad to see you back and in fine form!
Your header is magnificent, the wonderful birds! :)
Lovely landscape in your pictures, a dream place there for sure!

has left a new comment on your post "Young - Jessie Nevin":
@Anonymous I was so excited to read your comment above on my husband's blog today and delighted to hear that Mum's cousin is looking for her. I will talk to Mum about Joan when I next see her in a few days time. If you would like to contact me my email address is live2paintuk(at)yahoo(dot)co(dot)uk You need to substitute the usual @.. for the bracketed words as I have written it out in such a way as to try and avoid spam. Hope that's not too confusing. I have a blog too which you should be able to find in my husband's sidebar or google Julie Mackinder. I would love to make contact with Canadian cousins :-)
Very lovely, though I do believe Mr. Reed objects to being outed as the judge, apparently he fears retaliation from the losing teams.
Ha, Mac! I was trying to sort twelve geese when my computer froze. I may yet put up a baker's dozen if I have time before we go to the clinic this morning.
welcome back!
your photos are stunning as usual.
as is your header!
Great post. I love the precision flying and the almost 3D effect.
