Let me take you back in time - A small fishing village in North Yorkshire--
Staithes -- You can hire a small cottage in Staithes and enjoy yourself as tho Time stood still--
Fisher-men and their little boats --
Then there's the Mist - when it comes - it rolls right up from the sea and sweeps right through the village
This is where all the Artists sit and paint this scene of Staithes. You can also see the footbridge to get to the other side
On the little beach
Ah and pop down to the pub - which you can see on the right (the Yellowish building) A good pint is pulled there.
Staithes is split and you have to walk over a small bridge to get to the other side
My the sea can't half be rough at times
This is the one main road - NO CARS allowed you have to use the main car park at the top of the hill, and its a steep hill too
Ah the mist is now going over the cliffs and going south
On the other side they do allow cars but only to deliver goods or your cases - then you have to take your car back to the car park
Its a treat to light a fire to keep warm
One of the many pathways throughout the village - most interesting to venture down and see where they lead. This looks great in B/W gives that old time feeling
Another little path leading to the harbour
Another look at the beach from a different view point
Tide out then go for a walk, but BE CAREFULL the tide comes in quick
Enjoy.......
