We are back from our travels to the Canary Islands, and my post pics are from Gran Canaria.
My Header is from Wales.

The theme by Christopher this week is "TOYS R US"
Knowing Christopher, he will have a great show of toys - as he's a lad at heart and buys quite a few toys.
My Header (as Ive said is from Wales) is Rosie and Jim, on a barge on the canal.
Remember Rosie and Jim?? - Those lovable girl and boy dolls who had a TV series quite a few years ago.
Now, still going back some years (the boys will remember these) Catapults.
While in Gran Canaria last week we came across a shop who sold Catapults .
Wasnt it lucky that I photographed them. - Thanks Christopher.
Dont they just bring back the memories of when we were young - a catapult in your hand and a pocket full of pebbles.lol.

My 2nd Photo post is also from Grand Canaria
Look at these lovable Gnomes - all waiting to be bought and played with in your Gardens.
Dont forget to visit the other Head Bangers and see what they have come up with Christophers Toys R us.
You will find these grand folk on my side bar - near my shield.
Im sorry to say - that our Headbanger Lanny has decided to leave due to commitments of work and time.
Im sure the other Headbangers will agree with me that Lanny was a formidable Headbanger and came up with not only photos but lots of info and stories to tell us all.
Lanny - my friend - you will be missed.
That leaves a space for someone to fill - have you got what it takes to be a Headbanger??
If so please get in touch with either Tom or me.
i love the composition of the first photo.
ReplyDeletemarvellous!
delightful header, too.
I don't remember the series to which you are referring, Stewart...but I do love the dolls.
ReplyDeleteAnd slingshots....ah, yes. My son had one as a boy.
Colorful (do you spell it 'colourful'..?) photos of the gnomes. Some of them look quite mischievous.
Always great photos from you, Stewart.
Hugs and smiles to you,
Jackie
I like your header and your first photo very much. Over here catapults were known as slingshots. My parents would never let me have one, but many of my friends did.
ReplyDeleteA set of fun and colorful photos. Puts a little sunshine in an otherwise rainy day.
ReplyDeleteMac: Welcome back my friend. Cool toys for certain. I like your slingshots the best.
ReplyDeleteThese are great, Stewart. Those gnomes are pure delight. Welcome back!
ReplyDeleteOh --I remember the slingshots... I even was given an angel at Christmas one year by my parents. Sweet little girl (just like me???) ---but in her back pocket was a slingshot... ha ha.. I still have that angel.

ReplyDeleteYour header is awesome!

You can't beat a bit of Rosie and Jim. I'm sure that gnome at the end of the line looks a bit like you!
