Afternoon shoot

Friday 27-05-11 afternoon shoot in our garden - We have a couple of Beaded Iris blooming in our garden at the moment, so after a rain shower as the sun came out to shine - I went out with camera for a few shots.-Just love this colourdeep purple.

Here's another in bud, about to burst out and to give us another beauty to behold the eye.

Here's a macro shot of this beauty - DW said it looks like a runway for a bee - which is on the mark - fore- as I went out there was a bee inside, but I was'nt quick enuff as the bee flew just as I put camera to eye, got the shot, but alas - the bee was blurred, still I think I did pretty well with these few shots.

  2. These are wonderful pictures of the beautiful iris. We have a similar one in our yard and it is one of our favorites. I really like the raindrops you captured in that first photo.

  8. We have had so much rain recently, that getting a shot of our bearded iris or flags, as we call them, is a real task. I have some with water all over them but nothing like you got there.
