The Liver Bird of Liverpool

What better way to end our trip along the Manchester to Liverpool Shipping Canal
than featuring The Liver bird which is the symbol of the City - Liverpool UK .

Now - back in 1969 to 1979 featured a British conedy called the Liver Birds, about 2 young ladies sharing a flat together,
which featured Nerys Hughes and Polly James. My guess is that the Americans used this idea for their comedy "Friends". lol.

Liver as in "driver" and liver as in river. That was an amusing discovery.

You know, at first, I thought the Liver Bird had something to do with Prometheus.

I didn't know about the Liver bird before this. Visiting you is always an education. Thanks.
