Holy Island Castle cont ---
This is the sevants quarters of the Castle, they can only eat when all the Rich Family have been served, they will dine on whats left (and whats not gone upstairs lol).
I can easily sink into the picture. I can smell the warm brick and years of cooking that they absorbed. I would much rather have been in this room than the grand hall above with all the stress and tension and contradictions those lives have. I'm thinkin a servant during good times wouldn't need to worry 'bout leftovers, I don't think frugality was something castle owners worried about, but that showing off abundance would be their thing.
