The old Bridge of Berwick
The oldest bridge in Berwick, once the only bridge and road from Edinbough to London. Its history is HERE. Its still in use - altho its a one way only.
Your Old Bridge of Berwick is wonderful...I hope they never have need to destroy such gorgeous timeless architecture. A true wonder! As are the other 2 bridges of Berwick...what a relaxing way to take a much needed break. HaveAWonderfulDayofMemories

I like the sweeping flow of this bridge across the top photo. Looking at the water marks its obvious that the water was quite low on the day you were there.

If that old bridge could talk, I'll bet it would have some fascinating stories to tell..

When you get to that age, it's ok to be one-way! Great shots.
Mac: This is such a neat bridge, it is a great span of the river. I enjoyed all the photos from Berwick.
Wow... old indeed. Such character. If that bridge could only talk, the stories it could tell over the years it stood there. Very nice!
It really is a lovely bridge!!
What a beautiful bridge! It is very elegant and I love the hues.
Love this historic photo and fun to connect after being away for 2 weeks. Happy summer :)

They don't make them like they used to. What a grand old bridge, I love the arches.
