We have blooming dandelions now but so far they have not yet gone to seed. We used to eat the leaves if gathered before the plants bloomed. And we made a meal out of them and mom treated them with vinegar and bacon. Wow. I can still remember how good that was -- during the war years over here, some food was rationed.
Though a pesky weed, the seedheads of dandelions are like floating helicopters. They are beautiful in sunlight. Isn't God all around us.
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought this was a peacock's tail, then I put on my glasses!
ReplyDeleteFor being such lawn invaders, they surely make for a lovely picture.
Sunny :)

ReplyDeleteI think I prefer to think of it as a cluster of angels. But either way it is absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMac: Neat look at the blooms ready to spread.
ReplyDeleteWow ! that looks like a chinese ink drawing ! beautiful !

So few dandelions are ever called angels...But I see them! Great shot.
ReplyDeleteI love this, imac! Very cool :)
ReplyDeleteIf they be angels, they're fallen ones for sure. At least when they threaten my lawn, anyway. Sharp details, Imac.
ReplyDeleteI too thought I was looking at a peacock until I enlarged it - great shot with great detail.
ReplyDeleteFantastic dandelion shot. This is the way I prefer them; as a gorgeous image to look at. Looking at them in the lawn is a different thing...
