Breaking News

A 15 strong Team of the Y.F.C. - Young Farmers Club - Plan to Push Scooter from Melton Mowbray to Skegness over 2 days to raise money for the Derbyshire - Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.

We caught up with these 2 on their push scooter at Syston nr Grantham today (thursday) and having my camera handy took this shot from the car as DW drove past.

    I used to have a scooter when I was little. Top model, with proper tyres and a seat. Travelled miles on it.

    Air Ambulance, Medevac, as we call them, are a wonderful thing. We know because last Aug., one saved my husbands life during his heart attack. He almost had another heart attack when we got the bill...90 miles, one way, cost just under $22 thousand American dollars..thank God for good insurance at the time.
    It's a selfless thing these kids are doing. Congrats to them.

    You asked if a bear has ever tried to break into the house...no, but at the cabin, I have video of them with their noses and paws on the windows and the door...the locks worked. They have broken into the storage shed to get the corn they could smell, however.

    Good for them, so nice to hear a huge positive for these very caring youngsters. I wish I could have said hip, hip, hooray as they rode by but your photo does that for us. Lovely! And a beautiful header also.
