I can't begin to tell you the memories this picture brought back. There is/was a similar set of steps in Mevagissey (Cornwall), and when I was a youngster, my Dad would hang on to my hand and the rail and let me stand with my feet in the water. Of course this was only if the water was calm. Meanwhile my Mom would be having a nervous breakdown! I had forgotten about this until I saw your picture. Your St. Ives pictures have been such a delight. Thank you! Sunny :)
